Trending Theme: Saudi Arabia Appoints Princess as Ambassador to USA

Saudi Arabia has appointed a woman for the first time to be the next ambassador to the United States. Princess Reema bint Bandar Al Saud has been selected to replace Prince Khalid bin Salman, the younger brother of Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman. The appointment appears to be a political move aimed at improving heavily strained relations between the United States and Saudi Arabia following the murder of Jamal Khashoggi. Princess Reema is the daughter of Prince Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud, who served as the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the USA from 1983 - 2005.
