The Macedonian Parliament moved to change their country’s name to the Republic of Northern Macedonia via constitutional amendment. The amendment very narrowly passed in Macedonia’s parliament and will now face the next test of being ratified by the Greek parliament. Should this name change be approved by Greece, it would settle a decades-long dispute between the two countries and pave the way for North Macedonia’s entry into both NATO and the EU.
