Military action by two neighboring adversaries, India and Pakistan, has significantly increased the threat of major conflict. Following a suicide attack in Kashmir by the Pakistan-based terror group, Jaish-e-Mohammed, India has bombed terror targets inside of Pakistan. In response, Pakistan has now shot down two Indian fighter jets. Reports inside Pakistan show that at least one of the Indian pilots has been captured. Indian officials have stated that one Pakistani fighter jet has also been shot down. Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan warns that miscalculations could lead to war, and has requested to open dialogue with India. The international community has urged for a peaceful resolution between the two nuclear powers.
