On January 25th, a dam near the Brazilian town of Brumadinho burst causing a sea of mud to bury everything in its path. This incident resulted in the death of nearly 60 people with around 300 missing in total. This tragic event is the latest on a list of incidents caused by failing infrastructure that includes Kundal Shahi bridge collapse in Pakistan which killed 12 people, and the Ponte Morandi bridge collapse in Italy that killed 43 people.
