Former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrested

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been arrested, along with his daughter, upon returning to the country. Drivers for the arrest include allegations of corruption, with some evidence provided by the Panama Papers. Violence in the southwestern province of Baluchistan has also simultaneously occurred. Former Prime Minister Sharif dismisses the allegations as a conspiracy to prevent his party from obtaining a subsequent term.
